Commissioned in 1959 by Antonio Morelli, musical director of the Sands Hotel and a fixture of the Rat Pack era, this residence was a bold expression of desert modernism at the height of Las Vegas's post-war ascent.

With low horizontal rooflines, terrazzo floors, and rooms designed for entertaining beneath the neon glow of a young city, the Morelli House captured a distinctly Las Vegas expression of mid-century optimism. In 2001, threatened with demolition, it was moved intact to preserve what could not be replaced.
